Drinks Per Bottle Calculator

A standard 750ml bottle of wine contains 5 glasses at the standard UK restaurant pour of 150ml. Some restaurants pour 175ml (about 4.3 glasses) or 125ml (6 glasses). For home pouring, 5 glasses is the standard measure.

A 700ml bottle of spirits contains 28 single measures at 25ml (the UK legal single measure) or 14 double measures at 50ml. A 1-litre bottle gives 40 singles or 20 doubles.

A 750ml bottle of champagne or prosecco gives 6 flutes at the standard 125ml pour. For toasting purposes, you can stretch this to 7-8 smaller pours of about 100ml each.

In UK licensed premises, wine is served in 125ml, 175ml, or 250ml measures. Spirits must be served in 25ml or 35ml measures. At home, people typically pour more generously, so factor that in when planning.
