Bread Roll Weight Calculator

Calculate dough weight per roll and total dough needed for a batch of bread rolls.

How We Calculate This

This calculator works in two modes: dividing a known amount of dough into equal rolls, or calculating total dough needed for a specific number of rolls at a target weight.

The Calculation

  • Divide mode: Weight per roll = Total dough ÷ Number of rolls
  • Multiply mode: Total dough = Weight per roll × Number of rolls
  • Baked weight: Dough weight × 0.88 (12% moisture loss)

Roll Size Guide

  • 40-50g: Petit/cocktail rolls
  • 60-70g: Small dinner rolls
  • 75-90g: Standard dinner rolls
  • 100-130g: Large rolls / burger buns
